Advanced Modular Computers Wins Award From Department of Trade and Industry
Advanced Modular Computers (AMC) of Berkshire has won a special award from the DTI's Electronic Design Programme.
"The Special Judges Award' is designated this year for the company that has made the most effective use of the Electronic Design Scheme," said the DTI.
AMC applied for TCS funding to develop a rack-mounted telemetry web server, now called Sysmon, following an approach to the support centre at the University of Kent.
The Centre arranged for a graduate, Dale Lurcock, to work on the project as a TCS associate.
The Centre produced use of its surface mount prototyping facilities, advice in PCB Design, FPGA expertise and tailored training.
The ED Centre was very supportive throughout and in the initial stages of the project provided a useful sounding board for ideas," said AMC MD, Jim Gilbey.
