Capacity and file support

Available in 320GB, 480GB and 640GB the AMC-NAS-4020 is the ideal file server solution. Disk management is available in RAID 0 (striping, no parity), RAID 1 (disk mirroring), RAID 5 (striping with parity) JBOD or individual disks.

The network file protocol supports Microsoft Network (CIFS/SMB), Apple (AFP), Unix (NFS), Novell Netware, File Transport Protocol (FTP) and Internet (Web Browser) to give remote clients the ease of access through web browser anywhere around the world.

Hardware Redundancy Protection

The AMC-NAS-4020 offers hardware redundancy protection over its components that can be plugged and unplugged while the system is in operation. This provides continuous data and system availability with no downtime.

Hot swappable hard drives

The AMC-NAS-4020 features 4 hot swap hard drives thereby providing data protection in the event of an individual drive failure. The drive can then be removed and a new drive plugged in without shutting down the system. If the AMC-NAS-4020 unit is configured with RAID 1 or 5 disk management, the failed drive can be replaced with a new drive as hot spare. Our proprietary software will automatically configure the replacement drive and reconstruct the data from the lost drive, allowing work to continue without interruption.

Hot swappable and redundant power supplies

Preventing failure of system components is the key ingredient to sustaining zero downtime in accessing vital business information. The design-in of redundant and hot swap power supplies ensures the continued functioning of the AMC-NAS-4020 even in the event of a power failure. The failed power supply can be replaced without interrupting service thereby providing high data availability at all times.

Unsurpassed Network Connectivity

There is no need for additional configuration of other servers or clients on your network. The embedded OS supports automatic IP address assignment, utilising DHCP to help minimise setup time and management costs. The AMC-NAS-4020 delivers full multi-platform file sharing in Windows, Novell Netware, Unix/Linux and Macintosh environments. Simply plug in the platform and turn it on. The efficient design of hardware and the maturity of the embedded OS make the AMC-NAS-4020 extremely reliable, robust and cost effective.

The AMC-NAS-4020 uses the newly refined NASware2.0 operating system (OS) to act as a DHCP server, providing an IP address to any DHCP client that requests it.
