COM Express COMPACT
The "COMPACT" version, based on the COM Express Type 2, measures only 95x95mm˛. Pins and mechanics are 100% compatible with the PICMG COM Express specification. The board itself is one third shorter and therefore can be much more easily integrated into systems.
Lead-Free Design (RoHS)
Starting in July 2006 all electronic products need to be environmentally friendly. Many of the currently available embedded computer modules will not be offered as lead-free variants in future.
Competitive Pricing
The AMC-CLX has an optimised price/performance ratio. It's an entry level product to step into the COM Express embedded module concept.
Gigabit Ethernet
The AMC-CLX features Gigabit Ethernet via the COM Express connectors to enable fast communication links.
Low Power Consumption
The complete module is designed for low power consumption. Thanks to the low core voltage of the processor fanless and mobile applications are easily implemented.
Performance
AMD's Geode™ LX 800 processor offers a performance level that can be utilized by many different applications. High memory bandwidth is provided by supporting up to 1GByte DDR200 memory.
Flexible Graphics
The integrated graphic controller has the ability to control displays and monitors. Flat panel displays can be attached using LVDS. EPI is supported and allows automatic panel detection.
Software and Driver Support
AMC offers advanced Board-Support-Packages for the AMC-CLX, which include both the latest tested drivers from silicon vendors and the AMC specific drivers for accessing all of our additional embedded
BIOS features. This will help our customers reduce their time-to-market.
