Description
The AMC-500 is a low cost PC/AT compatible computer designed for 19 inch rackmounting in industrial, scientific and telecommunication applications. The unit accommodates a standard 14-slot ISA backplane, a combination ISA/PCI backplanes, an AT motherboard or the latest ATX Motherboards. There is provision for a total of five disk drives. A removable disk drive bay mounts three accessible 5.25" drives plus one half-height 3.5" hard drive together with one 3.5" floppy drive.
Passive Backplane Support
The AMC-500 is design to accommodate numerous types of backplanes.
Options include a 14-slot ISA backplane and a 14-slot PICMG backplane - 9 x ISA slots, 1 x
CPU slot and 4 x PCI slots.
Motherboard Configurations
The AMC-500 also offers the flexibility to support a number of motherboard configurations including AT and ATX Motherboards. (Please consult AMC regarding ATX Motherboard rear I/O panel compatibility).

As well as a standard 250W AT or a 300W ATX PSU, the AMC-500 can also be
supplied with a dual redundant 270W hot-swappable power supply - the BPS-270 in either
PS/2 or ATX format. An audible alarm and visible LED will alert the user of a system
malfunction.
