Description
The AMC-900 Series is the smallest KVM-to-IP extender on the market, housing up to 4 units in a 1U area. Supporting IPMI
based system management it also sets new standards in terms of integrated power cycling and hard reset capability. The
AMC-900 series is totally independent of the system software and can therefore be easily integrated with existing IT
environments and also rapidly installed. It supports LAN, ISDN, DSL and analogue communication.
Operation
This device enables server control, intervention, configuration, monitoring and reboot, completely regardless of the
administrator's location. Even in the case of a network failure the server can be accessed at any time via ISDN,
modem dialup or a second separate service LAN. The AMC-900 Series can be used for single server set ups as well as
for a large number of machines using a KVM-switching system. The unit allows local control of keyboard, video and mouse
and remote access to multiple users all at the same time.
Security
The AMC-900 Series can protect all types of data transfer using the industry's most secure encryption algorithms. A unique
user certificate can be generated, established and signed at a trust centre of choice and then uploaded to the AMC-900
Series to effectively prevent "Man-in-the-Middle Attacks" or snooping by 3rd parties. A sophisticated user management
system allows the set up of 255 user profiles which can be fine tuned at group or user level. Rights can be assigned,
changed or removed remotely, at any time. Irreversible data logging provides complete and unbroken documentation for
any remote or local event.
Independence
The AMC-900 series does not require complicated configuration at the server side nor at the local client station.
It supports both accelerated and non-accelerated input devices and can display all common VESA plots in text and graphic
mode up to a resolution of 1280x1024. The AMC-900 series is completely OS independent. To fully control and access
remote servers, all that is required is a Java enabled standard Web browser at the client side.
