Accessibility
The AMC-220 is a remote administration system giving administrators unrestricted access to their systems. Irrespective of
the operating status of the server system, it allows access to all relevant system resources such as boot screen, boot disk,
CMOS setup or even a hardware reset. This can be achieved from any external PC via LAN, modem, ISDN or the internet. It
also provides all required system information such as fan operation, processor temperature etc. and gives full remote
keyboard, video and mouse (KVM) access in text or graphics mode.
Security
The AMC-220 provides extremely high security using a combination of different encryption and log mechanisms. Access to the
card functions can be achieved via an encrypted connection using the HTTPS protocol or socket security layer SSL 2.3. A
server-independent user administration with different user profiles and user rights, protect the AMC-220 from unauthorised
use. All activities initiated by the AMC-220 are irreversibly logged. The data can only be deleted using additional tools
not available through the network.
Availability
The productivity and success of a company are increasingly dependent on the availability of the IT infrastructure. A server
system or even just a local workstation going down can result in a huge loss of money. In such cases, a rapid response to
problems is an absolute necessity. The AMC-220 allows a rapid remote response. Practically any workstation can be used
to respond quickly in the event of malfunction. But the AMC-220 is also an indispensable aid for 'normal' administration
work such as software installation, updates or maintenance etc. Because personal presence of the system administrator
is no longer necessary, both time and money can be saved.
